Directory of Krishnamurti Study Workshops

The concept of study workshops emerged from the need to discuss Krishnamurti’s teachings with the like-minded people. In the daily routine of our life, it is very difficult to find leisure, right kind of atmosphere and like-minded people to discuss the teachings. Hence people taking time off from their daily routine, gathering in a place which is naturally beautiful and conducive to study and devoting the whole time for reading, watching, pondering and discussing the teachings. That is how the workshops began.
The first series of three workshops took place in February, March and April of 1992 at Krishnamurti Study Centre Rajghat of KFI at Varanasi. The theme for all the workshops was ‘Problems of Living’. Each workshop was of ten days duration and was attended by over forty participants from all over India and some from abroad.
The next series of three workshops took place in January, February and March of 1999 at Krishnamurti Study Centre Sahyadri of KFI near Pune. From June 1999 onwards till October 2010, regular study workshops continued in the same centre.
From May 2011 onwards, the workshops continued at various non-KFI places wherever the required infra-structure was available. All these workshops were held offline where people gathered and lived at the venue of workshop and devoted their time for the study of the teachings. During Corona pandemic, workshops were conducted online and they still continue to be online. Recording of workshop dialogues was not a common feature of offline workshops. Hence very few recordings are available of these workshops. Recording became a common practice for all online workshops and is available for most of these workshops.
